What if the decedent owned real property in more than one state?

Question: What if the decedent owned real property in more than one state?

Answer: If the decedent owns real property in more than one state, and the property is owned in the individuals name, then ancillary jurisdiction would need to be set up in each state in which the property is owned in order to administer the estate and transfer that property pursuant to the decedents will.
