Who inherits my individual retirement account (IRA) if I do not name a beneficiary?

Question: Who inherits my individual retirement account (IRA) if I do not name a beneficiary?

Answer: If you have an IRA and do not name a beneficiary upon your death, the IRA will be distributed to your estate and then would be transferred to your heirs if you have a will under the provisions of your will, or if you do not have a will, under the laws of intestacy to your natural heirs.
