Do I need an attorney to make my will?

Question: Do I need an attorney to make my will?

Answer: I believe most individuals need an attorney to make their will. A will is a legal document and is a very important document and a lot of times individuals may take it lightly because they don’t feel that they own a lot of assets and that therefor they are not as concerned about whether they have a will or not. However, if you don’t have a will the laws of intestacy provide that who’s going to receive your property if you die without a will and that may be something that you don’t want. I always recommend that you have your own will instead of having the state make the will for you.
