Should I put my healthcare wishes in my will?

Question: Should I put my healthcare wishes in my will?

Answer: You should not put your healthcare wishes in your will. Your healthcare wishes should be provided for in your Ohio healthcare power of attorney and your living will which are legal documents to provide how medical decisions should be made for you during your lifetime. Your will is a document that upon your death will be probated at probate court and it is not a proper place to include your medical wishes.
