Who are the parties typically involved in a probate proceeding?

Question: Who are the parties typically involved in a probate proceeding?

Answer: In a probate preceding you typically have your will that designates an executor. The executor of the estate is the person that presents your will to the probate court in order for it to be approved. Your family may be involved if they feel that they want to challenge the validity of the will and that would be their opportunity once the will is presented to the court to challenge whether it’s a valid will or not otherwise the executor of the estate is typically the sole person that is responsible then for the administration of the estate, the gathering of the assets, the paying of the bills, and an accounting to the probate court for all of the money that has been collected then dispersed and getting the final dispersements approved by the probate court.
