What is the difference between an assisted living residence and a nursing home?

Question: What is the difference between an assisted living residence and a nursing home?

Answer: An assisted living residence is a situation in which a person is able to take care of themselves but they identify certain activities that they need assistance with and it is much less costly than living in a nursing home where you are typically needing more care whether its bathing care, needing clothed, preparing your meals. So, there is a lot more care that is required when you go into the nursing home then when you are in an assisted living facility.
