Do I need to name a guardian in my will?

Question: Do I need to name a guardian in my will?

Answer: Yes, it is highly recommended that you name a guardian in your will if you have minor children. Upon your death your children may need to have a guardian appointed and if they are not the mother or father or the other parent is not surviving then your wishes would be important for the probate court to assign a guardian to provide for raising your children until adulthood.
