If I die owing debts, who pays my debts?

Question: If I die owing debts, who pays my debts?

Answer: Upon your death the executor of your estate is responsible for the administration of your estate. If you owe debts the executor is responsible for the payment of those debts out of the assets that are in the probate estate.
